Industrial Automation Software Technician

Position Summary

We are searching an Industrial Automation Software Technician to support regulated manufacturing operations. This role will play a critical part in supporting manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems while ensuring systems remain in a validated state through proper backup and restore practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of automated manufacturing equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Motion control systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), RFID systems, Robotics and Vision systems.
Perform replacement and repair of computers connected to manufacturing systems.
Execute backup and restore procedures to ensure validated state of automation applications is maintained.
Support integration and configuration of automation systems and technologies.
Maintain thorough documentation of work performed in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, motion control systems, HMIs, RFID technology, robotics, and vision systems.
Hands-on experience with industrial IT systems, including computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to adapt to changing schedules or work extended hours as needed (Monday–Friday, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, or night shifts as needed)

Education:

• High School Diploma, associate or bachelor's degree with the required automation experience.
• Provide schedule flexibility to meet business needs, including potential support during weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
