Drug Crafters specializes in hormone replacement therapy (HRT), peptides, weight management, and customized wellness solutions, supporting a nationwide provider network.
 

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compliant compounded medications at scale through best-in-class facilities, cleanroom operations, and process excellence.

Position Overview

The Industrial Compounding Engineer supports and optimizes sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with a focus on process design, cleanroom workflows, equipment utilization, validation, and continuous improvement within a regulated pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and scale sterile and non-sterile compounding processes
  • Support cleanroom layout, workflow optimization, and contamination-control strategies
  • Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800, and 825
  • Lead equipment commissioning, qualification, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Develop SOPs for compounding processes and equipment use
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Support investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPAs
  • Partner with leadership on capacity planning and scalability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a compounding pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or regulated cleanroom environment
  • Hands-on experience with cleanroom operations, aseptic technique, and controlled environments
  • Working knowledge of USP compounding standards and pharmacy regulatory requirements
  • Experience with process optimization, equipment validation, and operational documentation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with pharmacy, quality, and operations teams

  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in 503A or 503B compounding pharmacies
  • Familiarity with sterile compounding workflows and environmental monitoring programs
  • Experience supporting facility expansions or increased production volume
  • Knowledge of GMP principles and quality management systems
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement certification
