Industrial Designer - Opportunity to Make a Difference

As a leading designer and fabricator of retail store displays and fixtures. We specialize in creating custom injection-molded single-serve coolers to drive impulse purchases at convenience and grocery stores. We also design and manufacture a variety of specialized retail racks and fixtures made of plastic, wood, metal, or wire. Associates work directly with leading retailers and brands like Pepsi, Coca Cola, Red Bull, Anheuser Busch and many other Fortune 500 companies, to create shopping experiences seen every day. The Industrial designer is responsible for several duties at Presence from Innovation (PFI) , including collaborating and developing solutions that support our customers’ needs in merchandising and fixture placements. Ability to translate conceptual ideas into visual product proposals. Must collaborate product design skills between sales, product management, customer and engineering. Familiarity with various materials and manufacturing is helpful. Ability to adapt multiple design software to optimize visual elements of customer conceptual presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Sales Representatives and customers to develop creative solutions.
• Can require interaction with customer to determine packaging design/display needs.
• Provide conceptual structural solutions to meet client objectives.
• Work with and through various mixed medium materials to provide solutions.
• Completes routine and complex structural design projects, under tight time constraints.
• Prepare structural design files for prototypes, mock-up, and production.
• Maintains project records and generates in accordance with company policy.
• Monitors all and follows guidelines of creative quality control procedures.
• Ensure all direct customer feedback is promptly communicated.
• Counsel Sales and Customers on design needs for their product.
• Proactively provide creative solution suggestions.
• Maintain and manage and effective time management schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or similar field preferred, but not required
• Design or Corrugated background preferred, but not required

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency in Arden Software Impact CAD, Esko Artios CAD. KeyShot and SolidWorks or Similar
• Understanding of Adobe Suite of Software products.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented.
