Industrial Electrician

Location: Dunkirk, NY

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

Compensation: $24.20–$31.70 per hour

Position Overview

Qualifications

• 2-year post-high school education in electrical or related field required.

• Prior electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to interpret schematics.

• Passing score on the Ramsey RR47-A test (or equivalent) required.

• Demonstrated ability to walk through electrical prints and troubleshoot systems.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and tac-welding skills a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across the facility.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair control panels, wiring, switches, and breakers.

• Maintain and replace motor bearings and inspect transformers.

• Perform electromechanical rebuilds of plant equipment.

• Assist with installation of new equipment and relocation of existing equipment.

• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications

• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move electrical supplies and equipment.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
