Industrial Electrician (Beaver Dam, WI)

This position is responsible for electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment and utilities. This position requires demonstration of strong electrical skills. The position is a key member of the plant maintenance team and will help with the advancement of the plant through participating in various improvement teams in the facility. The employee awarded this position should be flexible and able to work extended hours and/or weekend work as necessary to cover business needs as well as some adjustment to shift/hours.

Pay $35.25/HR

Primary Role and Responsibilities

Perform all work in a safe manner and within all compliance requirements to avoid personal injury.
Observe all plant GMP’s to ensure quality food products are produced

Able to create and read electrical/electronic schematics and drawings, fabricate control panels and start-up new and rebuilt equipment
Able to read PLC code, troubleshoot using PLC software and program PLC controlled equipment
Able to mechanically troubleshoot pneumatic, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems

Understand and troubleshoot sensor-based systems such as level controls, temperature controllers, etc.
Installation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as conduit, junction boxes, control panels, wiring, etc., in conformance to the National Electrical Code

Able to repair complex electronic equipment such as programmable controllers and ink jet printers, etc.
Complete assigned work orders, and project work promptly while maintaining a neat and orderly workplace
Troubleshoot and install 480v and 3 phase power distribution systems

Perform all observations and trainings timely as required
Support Plant Quality Systems
Perform all other duties as assigned by management or required by business needs

Qualifications:

Must have a journeyman license or 5 years experience in Industrial Electricity and Control System.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds per NIOSH Lifting Equation and utilize plant approved safe lifting practices for over 50 pounds
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (extended hours, including weekends and holidays when required).
Must perform job duties efficiently and safely.
Must be able to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot complex equipment.
PLC knowledge (especially Allen Bradley), Relay Logic, VFD drives, Process Instrumentation.
Understand NEC as it relates to industrial installations.
Ability to run conduit up to 2”.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be self-motivated and productive with minimal supervision.
Must adhere to all Kraft policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow all internal Kraft procedures.
