Industrial Engineer

Local manufacturing company needs an Industrial Engineer to evaluate processes and develop solutions that increase productivity and safety. The goals also include reductions in waste and optimization of investments in equipment.

You will be responsible to:

• Study and improve plant layouts for the most efficient flow of work
• Develop work standards, including time and motion studies
• Teach and coach employees in Lean principles
• Improve processes and cost efficiency in labor and materials costs
• Evaluate new machinery and equipment for cost and time savings

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Six Sigma Certification desired. 
• 3-5 years’ experience in leading Lean changes, including Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen
• Prior experience working in warehouse and manufacturing environments.
