Position Summary

Are you passionate about designing smarter operations, solving complex challenges, and delivering measurable business results? As an Industrial Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our multi-building distribution campus by combining engineering expertise with strategic thinking to drive operational excellence.

In this highly visible position, you'll partner with campus leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement productivity improvements using activity-based costing, benchmarking, and time-study analytics. Your insights and recommendations will directly influence business decisions, operational performance, and supply chain KPIs.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain CAD drawings for complex, multi-building distribution campuses, translating business and operational requirements into facility layouts that support transportation, distribution, and future growth.


• Analyze workflows, material handling requirements, and space utilization to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions involving racking, forklifts, totes, and other material handling equipment.


• Develop, implement, and maintain engineered labor standards using MOST methodology while training and coaching operational teams on best practices to support adoption and long-term success.


• Continuously evaluate and enhance labor models to improve productivity, simplify operations, and respond to evolving business needs, including scheduling changes, seasonal demand fluctuations, process improvements, and environmental considerations.


• Serve as the industrial engineering subject matter expert and strategic partner for key stakeholders, supporting business case development, productivity validation, capital planning initiatives, and operational decision-making.


• Collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate engineering requirements and permitting activities, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, and HVAC considerations.


• Partner with Operations and Finance teams to evaluate and optimize incentive programs, validate performance metrics, adjust baselines, and ensure plans effectively drive desired behaviors and business outcomes.


• Build strong relationships with industry associations, external experts, and cross-functional partners to stay current on best practices and emerging trends.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.


• Project Management Certification.


• Proven experience driving productivity improvements within distribution, logistics, supply chain, or related operational environments.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business recommendations.


• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Five or more years of experience implementing and/or managing Engineered Labor Standards.


• Advanced knowledge and practical application of MOST methodology.


• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.


• Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives and supporting capital planning efforts.


• A passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and creating scalable solutions that deliver lasting business value.

Salary

• $92,640-138,960, depending on experience.
