Position Overview:

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for Industrial Engineers to join the Industrial Engineering team located in San Antonio Texas.

Position Responsibilities:

Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.

Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.

Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.

Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

Conducts basic work flow design and analysis. Develops simple models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.

Supports research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.

Supports implementation plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.

Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.

Supports the preparation of operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.

Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.

Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.

Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications

(Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Strong computing skills, excellent communication skills and be customer-oriented.

Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

(Desired Skills & Experience):

Knowledge of Aircraft modifications or aircraft production environments.

-Experience with 3D Computer aided design tools preferred.

Industrial Engineering experience in a factory setting, familiarity with manufacturing operations, manufacturing planning, engineering drawings and specifications, lean concepts (certifications preferred)

Experience working with data sets from a wide variety of sources such as SQL server or Oracle preferred.

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry-Level (Level 1):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation

:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay Transparency

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range (Entry-Level - Level 1): $60,350 - $81,650. Summary pay range (Associate - Level 2): $72,250 - $97,750.
