Industrial Equipment Installation Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Installation Crew Lead to supervise and manage field installation crews for industrial processing equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and field installation expertise.

This position involves extensive travel (approx. 75%) across the Midwest, with occasional travel to Canada and Central America. When not traveling, employees may take unpaid time off or work onsite in Jordan, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise field installation crews on industrial equipment projects
• Plan labor, materials, tools, and equipment for job sites
• Coordinate schedules, project milestones, and installation timelines
• Verify parts, materials, and equipment are delivered to job sites
• Track and report crew hours for payroll and project management
• Train and mentor crew members on tools, welding, and installation methods
• Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and field inventory

Requirements:

• 5+ years of field installation experience (crew lead/supervisory experience preferred)
• Strong welding skills and mechanical aptitude (required)
• Ability to read blueprints and work with industrial equipment
• Experience with forklifts, manlifts, and fabrication/installation tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel extensively (75%), including weekends

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Perform heavy physical labor in field environments
• Work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various positions (kneeling, crawling, stooping)
• Ability to work safely under challenging job site conditions

Compensation & Benefits:

• Up to $110,000/year (based on experience)
