Job Description - Industrial Gas Sales Representative

Job Overview: 

The Industrial Gas Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining and growing existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong prospecting skills, the ability to build lasting relationships, and a deep understanding of industrial gas applications across various industries. The successful candidate will be an independent, self-motivated professional with a passion for sales and customer service. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Identify and prospect new business opportunities within our geographic footprint. 

• Conduct sales appointments, assess customer needs, and provide tailored solutions. 

• Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales effectively. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. 

• Track all sales activities in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate records of contacts, opportunities, and sales progress. 

• Provide ongoing support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. 

• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. 

• Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery. 

• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics. 

• Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and conferences to expand business opportunities. 

• Attend sales meetings 

Requirements

  Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of sales experience in industrial gases, C02 and Nitrogen experience is required 

• Proven track record of successful B2B sales, including prospecting, closing, and account management. 

• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Knowledge of gases and their applications 

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
