Job Summary

Environmental (Asbestos) Inspector (BS degree required)
Smith & Wessel Associates provides hazardous building materials and industrial hygiene consulting services throughout New England, primarily in Massachusetts and Connecticut. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a field environmental inspector/technician .

Responsibilities

Inspections and air monitoring at project sites related to asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous building materials

Opportunities to conduction inspections, IAQs, exposure monitoring, report writing, interpreting and enforcing regulations and working with clients for motivated individual.

Upload paper work on a daily basis to our remote server

Coordinate on-site with abatement contractor and other members of project team

Report on progress

Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science or related field
Knowledge of environmental/hazardous building materials field
Willing to travel to sites on a daily basis in your own reliable vehicle
Independent worker
One year experience preferred but will train ideal candidate
Must be able to work in construction/abatement environments.

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
