Sr. Industrial Hygienist & Registered Sanitarian

Position Overview:

EnDyna has an immediate full time opening for a Industrial Hygienist and Registered Sanitarian (RS) with a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years IH project management experience. This position will be part of a team on a Federal contract in Arlington, Virginia.

This position requires 5 day a week on site, at the Arlington office.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Industrial Hygiene (IH) projects to ensure product quality and timeliness.


• Support the Government-Registered Sanitarian, in the inspection, assessment, and evaluation of new and existing food service facilities. 


• Conduct foodborne illness investigations, vulnerability assessments, and food recall oversight in accordance with the Tri Service Food Code (TSFC) and FDA criteria.


• Lead comprehensive indoor air quality studies in an office environment.


• Support industrial hygiene field studies related to workers or tenant’s exposures, including, but not limited to air, water, and noise sampling; illumination, ventilation surveys, Indoor Air Quality, ergonomic studies, radiation, heat stress and other related studies.


• Prepare detailed IH reports summarizing findings and recommended corrective actions, using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)


• Peer review reports for accuracy and provide coaching to Mid-Level & Junior IH & Sanitation staff.


• Oversee operation and maintenance of IH instruments.


• Research and upkeep of safety and health operational standards and guidelines, and IH sampling methods.


• Maintain and build client relationships and mentor Mid-Level & Junior IH staff.


• Create, clarify, and enforce company policies, procedures, objectives, and priorities.


• Respond to emergent “Hot Calls”, provide advice for corrective action.


• Support ergonomic assessments and make recommendations and follow up with tenants.


• Perform office safety assessments and maintain master list of locations and POC’s.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in engineering, science, or other related discipline from an accredited university.


• Ten (10) years directly related Industrial Hygiene experience. Or seven (7) years directly related experience with an advanced degree and applicable board certification.


• Four (4) years directly implementing a food service sanitation program and possess current and valid RS certification.


• Clean credit and no criminal history. Preference for a candidate who had a federal CAC in recent past.


• Able to achieve Secret clearance if and when requested. DoD will sponsor if required.


• US Citizenship


• Able to crawl, climb over obstacles, conduct extended periods of walking, on uneven surfaces such as ramps, rooftops and able to climb ladders without assistance.


• Able to enter confined space or work on high-elevation task locations.
