Industrial Maintenance Technician - Port Washington WI

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Industrial Shop Maintenance Technician to perform a wide variety of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks throughout our plant. This is a hands-on position for someone with industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic 480-volt electrical troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, resourceful, safety-conscious, and comfortable working on different types of equipment and facility issues. No two days are the same, and the ability to troubleshoot problems and get equipment back up and running is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and plant equipment.

- Perform basic 480-volt electrical troubleshooting on industrial machines.

- Diagnose equipment problems and assist with electrical and mechanical repairs.

- Replace and repair plant lighting and other facility electrical components within the employee's qualifications.

- Troubleshoot and repair welding machines, including welding leads, cables, and connections.

- Locate and repair compressed air leaks, hoses, fittings, and related components.

- Perform general facility maintenance, including unclogging drains and addressing basic plumbing issues. - Complete routine preventive maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime.

- Identify maintenance issues and make timely, effective repairs.

- Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and applicable electrical safety requirements.

- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

- Previous industrial maintenance experience required.

- Basic knowledge of 480-volt electrical systems and industrial machine troubleshooting.

- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

- Experience working with welding equipment, compressed air systems, and general plant maintenance preferred.

- Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems.

- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to working safely.
