As an Equipment Mechanic Technician, you need several soft skills to go along with your technical competencies. Responsibilities & Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain rubber, plastic and liquid silicone injection molding machinery and equipment, to ensure they are always in proper, working order.
• Understands and interprets electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshooting injection molding machinery, performing routine preventative maintenance, and making any corresponding repairs.
• Accurately completes repair and preventive maintenance work order documentation and records.
• Reading, interpreting, and following machinery and equipment procedures and operation manuals.
• Cleans, repairs, and installs machine components and parts as needed.
• Performs safety audits and reports safety issues.
• Identifies and recommends potential improvement opportunities.
• Provides training to maintenance team members as needed.
• Assists with inventory monitoring and request replacements.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Uses of a variety of hand and power tools.
• Follows industry best practices, SOPs, and other safety guidelines and requirements.
• Performs general building maintenance work as assigned.
• Required to work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience as a machine maintenance mechanic and handling injection molding machines is a must.
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Thermoplastic, silicone, or rubber machining/Fabrication experience desired.
• Self-starter and highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent Mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Capable of using hand, power, and specialized tools.
• Available and willing to be on call for emergency machine repairs.
• Experienced in the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, identify issues/concerns and determine any required repairs.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30lbs.
