Job Responsibilities:

  • Protective Coatings Application: Expertly apply high-performance industrial paints and specialized protective coatings to various substrates, ensuring durability and technical compliance.

  • Surface Preparation: Perform meticulous surface prep, including abrasive blasting, mechanical cleaning, and chemical treatments, to ensure maximum coating adhesion and longevity.

  • Industrial Execution: Operate and maintain professional-grade spray equipment (airless, conventional, etc.) and specialized tools required for industrial-scale environments.

  • Quality Control: Uphold Trimerge’s standards for excellence by performing self-inspections, monitoring wet/dry film thickness, and ensuring a defect-free finish that meets project specifications.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety protocols, with a specific focus on respiratory protection, fall protection, and hazardous material handling.

  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to ensure coating tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the project timeline.

  • Environmental Stewardship: Ensure proper containment, cleanup, and disposal of materials in accordance with environmental regulations and job site requirements.

Job Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of industrial coating materials, including epoxies, urethanes, and specialized zinc primers.

  • Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrated experience operating industrial sprayers, pressure washers, and surface preparation equipment.

  • Surface Prep Mastery: Understanding of SSPC/NACE standards for surface preparation and cleanliness.

  • Physical Dexterity: Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or while wearing necessary PPE for extended periods.

  • Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, product data sheets (PDS), and safety data sheets (SDS).

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify substrate issues on-site and apply correct coating solutions to ensure project success.

  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.

  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certification is preferred; SSPC or NACE (AMPP) certifications are a significant plus.
