Industrial Spray Booth Painter

What You’ll Do

Assist the Manager with the following responsibilities:

• Wear required personal protective equipment including respirators, disposable coveralls with hoods, safety glasses, and safety toe shoes


• Set up and operate spray booth painting equipment to coat metal products with paint and rust-proofing materials


• Prepare metal surfaces for painting


• Mix paints, chemicals, and thinners to required specifications and control viscosity levels


• Clean painting equipment and tools; organize and store materials properly


• Dispose of waste materials according to OSHA and company safety standards


• Maintain accurate daily and weekly production records

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial painting experience


• Experience working with spray booth operations


• Ability to wear a half-piece respirator during paint operations


• Ability to pass:
  
  
  
  • Annual OSHA-compliant respirator fit test
  
  
  • Annual OSHA-compliant spirometry test
  
  
  • Annual “Fit for Duty” physical
  
  
  
  


• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day and occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Valid driver’s license

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of spray booth equipment and painting operations


• Strong time management and prioritization skills


• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities


• Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively with supervisors
