Job Description - Industrial Welder Aluminum - 1st Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Industrial Welder Aluminum - 1st Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.28 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment. You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. \n \nJob Functions: \n\u2022 Set up, understand. and proficiently operate all welding equipment. \n\u2022 Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems. \n\u2022 ID and tag shop orders with product. Retrieve/enter data into system. \n\u2022 Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts. \n\u2022 Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently. \n\u2022 Weld components based on print specifications. \n\u2022 Perform 5S \u0026 Continuous Improvement activities. \n\u2022 Other duties as assigned. \n\u2022 Using Blue prints, be able to fabricate and Fit Large Enclosures\n\n * Ability to weld TIG and MIG in all positions\n\n\n\n\u2022 Ability to work independently of others\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution\n\n * Working knowledge of operations, to include TIG, MIG of aluminum and/or stainless steel\n\n\n\n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship \n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Spot-welding experience \n\u2022 Basic computer skills \n\u2022 Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills. \n\u2022 Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools \n\u2022 Ability to TIG weld aluminum \n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending. \n\u2022 Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business \n\u2022 Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks \n\u2022 Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools \n\u2022 Ability to follow directions, work independently and pay close attention to detail \n\u2022 Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product \n\u2022 Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate\u00ac \n\u2022 Requires PPE to include safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, ear protection, cut resistant sleeves, and any other PPE required by the position. \n\u2022 Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
