Industry Principal V

RealPage is seeking a strategic and visionary Industry Principal, Smart Building to represent our Smart Building portfolio and help shape the future of connected communities across the multifamily industry.

As the industry leader for Smart Building, you will serve as the market-facing expert on emerging technologies, smart devices, connected building ecosystems, resident experience, and operational innovation. You will bridge customer needs, market trends, product strategy, and commercial execution to help RealPage deliver differentiated solutions that solve meaningful customer challenges.

This highly visible role partners across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Strategy, and Executive Leadership to influence product direction, accelerate go-to-market success, strengthen customer relationships, and establish RealPage as an industry thought leader.

• Strategic Sales Engagement - Partner with Sales on high-value, strategic opportunities by providing industry expertise, executive-level customer engagement, competitive insight, and differentiated value narratives that advance complex deals.
• Voice of the Customer - Represent the voice of customers and the market by synthesizing customer feedback, competitive intelligence, industry trends, and operational challenges into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Field Readiness - Develop and deliver enablement programs, sales training, certifications, competitive positioning, and industry education to ensure commercial teams remain current on Smart Building technologies, market dynamics, and customer priorities.
• Industry Influence - Represent RealPage as a recognized thought leader through conferences, webinars, customer events, industry associations, advisory boards, speaking engagements, and published content that elevates RealPage's market presence.
• Internal Business Reviews - Partner with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive leadership to review market opportunities, customer outcomes, product adoption, competitive positioning, and strategic initiatives that support business growth.
• Product Strategy Advisory - Influence product strategy and innovation by bringing deep industry expertise, customer perspective, competitive intelligence, and emerging market trends into roadmap discussions and investment decisions.
• Customer Advisory Engagement - Build executive relationships with customers, strategic partners, and industry organizations to validate market needs, gather feedback, support customer advisory programs, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
• Launch Readiness - Partner with Product Marketing and cross-functional teams to support successful product launches by ensuring market messaging, sales readiness, customer adoption strategies, and field enablement align with customer needs.

• 8+ years of experience in PropTech, Smart Building technology, SaaS, multifamily technology, or related industries
• Deep understanding of Smart Building technologies including connected devices, access control, automation, IoT platforms, integrations, and resident experience solutions
• Strong knowledge of multifamily operations, technology ecosystems, and industry trends
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that align business strategy, customer needs, and product innovation
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders across internal teams and customer organizations
• Demonstrated experience serving as an industry thought leader through speaking engagements, advisory boards, publications, or customer advocacy
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

• Ability to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to drive strategic recommendations
• Willingness to travel to customer meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and industry events
