We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, loving and has a passion for working with children!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing engaging lesson plan activities from our curriculum that promote growth and development in accordance with PA standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Provide care for infants, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist in preparations of any necessary learning materials.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Take attendance
- Assist in observing and assessing children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Document students’ learning progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in ECE or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in infant care, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years working in childcare (required)
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Certification in Infant/Child First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
