Job Title: Infant Lead Teacher
Location: Little Duckling Daycare 2

Position Overview:
Little Duckling Daycare 2 is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our team. The Infant Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for early childhood development, and the ability to partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.

  Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.

  
  


• 
  

  Establish consistent routines for feeding, diapering, and napping that meet the needs of each child.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Observe, document, and assess children’s growth and development, sharing progress with families regularly.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to foster trust and strong partnerships.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health, and safety standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise and guide assistant teachers or aides within the classroom.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of infant development and best practices in early childhood education.

  
  


• 
  

  CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before starting).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Genuine love for working with infants and supporting their development.

  
  

Schedule & Compensation:

  Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
