Infant Teacher

The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. This role involves nurturing and supporting the development of infants in a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. Hours will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM, providing some flexibility within this timeframe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive, enriching experience for our youngest learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.


• Create and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.


• Maintain open and positive communication with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.


• Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.


• Observe and document individual developmental milestones and report any concerns to administration.


• Collaborate with fellow staff to support overall classroom goals and school initiatives.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with infants in an early childhood setting preferred.


• Knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices for infant care and education.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to pass background checks and comply with all state licensing requirements.


• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
