Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher Purpose
To cooperate in providing a warm and nurturing, quality early childhood environment in which each child can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teachers support children and families by:
Creating positive learning environments
Providing consistent daily routines
Supporting individual needs and interests through observation and planning
Creating family partnerships and community relationships
Creating a warm and caring atmosphere to promote children's physical and social wellbeing
Supporting children through conflict resolution and problem solving
Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teachers collaborate with others on their team and will:
Contribute to the completion of shared classroom and center tasks
Work cooperatively with others

Demonstrate flexibility in the classroom
Provide professional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication
Follow NAEYC’s Ethical Code of Conduct
Requirements
A Bachelors, Associates or CDA in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
Personnel File is up to date
CPR/First Aid
Current TB Test
Current Physical
Adheres to attendance policies as outlined in the staff handbook.
Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children, co-workers and families
Sensitive to the individual needs of families
Ability to communicate with families effectively
Ability to supervise variety of staff
Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards
Knowledge of child development
Ability to provide appropriate guidance
Ability to seek supervision and use it constructively
Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Evidence of sufficient judgment to handle crisis situations
