Responsible for overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.
Attends family engagement events.

Requirements
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
9 months of supervised work experience or practicum
3 credits in Child Growth and Development, Birth - Eight Years
Experience with Teaching Strategies Gold preferred.
Excellent communication skills with teachers, children, parents and other childcare workers.
Attends staff meetings.
Ability to be patient and understanding when working with children and interacting with parents.
Must participate in required hours per year of training through workshops, courses, conferences, and all in-service training relating to early childhood education.
Submit and pass background check.
Obtain certification in CPR and First-Aid within 6 months of employment; must be maintained by obtaining recertification as necessary.
