About Us: Kids' Corps, Inc. provides Head Start, Early Head Start, and Parents as Teachers programs, offering enriching experiences to children and support to their families. Position Overview:

• Role: Teacher


• Location: Anchorage, Alaska


• Type: Full-time, non-exempt position


• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift between 7:30 am-5:30 pm (Year Round)


• Starting Salary: Dependent on education level:
  
  
  
  • CDA/SEED Equivalent Certificate: $23.15 per hour
  
  
  • Associate's Degree: $25.45 per hour
  
  
  • Bachelor's Degree: $29.22 per hour
  
  
  • Graduate Degree: $33.38 per hour
  
  
  • There is a 10-step wage scale built into this position that occurs annually.
  
  
  
  


• Benefits: Includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, 401k with company match, 12 paid holidays, and paid leave


• Introductory Period: 90-day probation period with a $300 sign-on bonus upon completion

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.


• Implement play-based learning and individual/small group instruction strategies.


• Conduct ongoing assessments and collaborate with parents to set goals for children's growth.


• Participate in professional development opportunities and coaching to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

• Current Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with Infant Toddler specific training, OR


• State of Alaska SEED Practitioner Certificate Level Six or higher with willingness to obtain CDA within 6 months of hire, OR


• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with specific coursework in early childhood education.
