Job Summary and Qualifications

You will assist in the direction of the hospital Infection Control Program
You will utilizes TheraDoc software and Meditech to investigate Hospital Acquired Infections and Surgical Site Infections and reports these to appropriate agencies
You will compare laboratory reports with communicable disease list to identify conditions that requires infection control procedures
You will conducts rounds in patient care areas to serve as a resource to staff for Infection Prevention initiatives

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

Graduated from an accredited program or Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse or other health-related field; post-graduate courses in Epidemiology or Infection Control desirable.

Licensure/Certifications:

Georgia licensure as LPN or RN or CIC required

Experience:

2-4 years clinical nursing experience and two to three years recent experience in infection control required
