Infection Prevention Program Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and identify trends and interventions.
• Analyze infection data and prepare actionable reports for leadership.
• Educate staff on infection prevention best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead outbreak investigations and corrective action planning.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state/local regulations.
• Perform audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging infectious diseases and prevention strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field (required).
• Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required; if not held at hire, must obtain within 2 years.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in infection prevention/control in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of hospital epidemiology and infection prevention best practices.
  • Excellent data analysis, critical thinking, and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.

Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $66,000–$93,000 (DOE)
