Job Description - Infection Prevention Program Manager
Our client, a leading healthcare system, is seeking an Infection Prevention Program Manager to champion infection control initiatives across the organization. This critical role will develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and identify trends and interventions.
Analyze infection data and prepare actionable reports for leadership.
Educate staff on infection prevention best practices and regulatory guidelines.
Lead outbreak investigations and corrective action planning.
Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state/local regulations.
Perform audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on emerging infectious diseases and prevention strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field (required).
Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required; if not held at hire, must obtain within 2 years.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in infection prevention/control in a healthcare setting preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of hospital epidemiology and infection prevention best practices.
Excellent data analysis, critical thinking, and reporting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary: $66,000–$93,000 (DOE)

This position is onsite in Missoula, MT.
The role may require flexibility based on operational needs, including occasional extended hours.
