Position: Information Security Technology Specialist

Jonesbororealtycompany is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Security Technology Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a leader in the real estate industry, we understand the importance of protecting our clients' confidential information and maintaining the security of our systems. The Information Security Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and recommend solutions

- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches and take appropriate action to mitigate threats

- Manage and maintain security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software

- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and implementing remediation plans

- Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and technologies, and make recommendations for enhancements to the company's security posture

- Provide security training and awareness programs to employees to promote a culture of security awareness

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the company's operations and projects

- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing

- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on security-related projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security, preferably in a corporate environment

- Strong knowledge of security standards, protocols, and technologies, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and encryption methods

- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners

- Familiarity with network and system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

- Certification in information security, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, is preferred

- Knowledge of real estate industry and related regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) is a plus
