The Information Technology (IT) Manager, working closely with the IT Director, is responsible for executing technology-related activities at CLF, helping to determine IT needs and implementing solutions. On a day-to-day basis, the position troubleshoots for the health and performance of CLF's internal IT infrastructure in support of the organization's needs, operations, and mission. This infrastructure includes office computer networks, telecommunications systems, computers, computer equipment, AV conference room equipment, and end user software and applications. The IT Manager reports to the IT Director.
The position is based in CLF's Boston office and will be expected to work in-person with flexibility for remote work part of the week. The position may be either full-time or part-time, depending on the preference and experience of the final candidate.
What you'll do
The IT Manager together with the IT Director and other IT professionals will:
Work collaboratively and collegially with staff across the organization to provide exceptional IT support Maintain mission-critical e-mail systems, office productivity software, apps, platforms, etc. Play a critical role in IT projects, including the deployment of new IT equipment, systems, policies, and services Ensure maintenance and optimal performance of computers and office networks, including: Monitoring performance of servers, disks, firewalls, routers, switches, ISP connectivity, etc. Reviewing usage, responding to alerts, and conducting regular maintenance Troubleshooting network and telecommunications services and equipment Maintaining asset inventory and reviewing asset health reports IT Security and Threat Management, including: Monitoring for, responding to, and resolving threats Assessing new risks and threats Maintaining systems for patches, updates, and other preventative measures Ensuring a resilient disaster recovery plan and managing backups Ensuring compliance with IT, IT security, and information governance policies across the entire organization Troubleshoot end user hardware, software, and cloud services issues with IT support desk staff, including: Responding to staff problems with internal IT systems and CLF devices Reviewing support desk responses to tickets to ensure timely resolution Coordinating warranty repairs of computers and equipment Maintaining AV and conferencing room equipment Coordinate new user setup and departing user closeout, including: Providing IT onboarding to new staff; Setting up new user IT accounts for office productivity software, communications systems, and other apps. Deploying new staff computers and managing returned equipment What you'll need At least 5 years of experience in IT support and management, including administering network systems and computer management for organizations with multiple sites Experience managing software systems, Windows and Apple workstations, telecommunications systems, and office networks Strong communication skills An ability to move and deploy technical equipment, including occasional heavy lifting with or without reasonable accommodations Commitment to working collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and partners An ability to take initiative, solve problems, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment High level of organization and attention to detail An interest and commitment to CLF's mission, including its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

Salary & Benefits
CLF offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits plan, and an open and accepting work environment where differences are highly respected. The starting salary range for the position is $80,000-$93,000; actual salary will reflect experience and qualifications.
