Normal work hours are 0630-1800 local time Monday through Friday excluding Federal holidays and Government facility closures, with core hours from 0930-1430. Security Clearance:
Must have favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or an equivalent or higher investigation. Travel Requirements:
Only local area travel is anticipated.
Position Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree Experience : Minimum of five years of experience providing IT systems support and administration. Certifications : The contractor shall be trained and certified at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) as required by DoD 8570.01-M and certified on the information systems they are required to maintain. The contractor shall have completed the Information Assurance (IA) Baseline Certification prior to starting work. The contractor shall the appropriate Computing Environment Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, C2.3.9 specified timeframe. Position Responsibilities: Software Support for LCSD Technical Publications The contractor shall support all technical concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Extensible Markup Language (XML) authoring, XML output processing, using tools such as Content Management System (ex. SiberSafe), XMetal Author, Adobe FrameMaker and similar software used in the development of technical publications. The contractor shall provide technical support, to include software updates, troubleshooting and end-user support with regards to all electronic publishing, office productivity, and multimedia software. The contractor shall build, manage, and provide desktop support for collaborative applications such as MS Teams and SharePoint. The contractor shall build, manage, and update several intranet and public websites, as they relate to electronic publishing and technical publications. The contractor shall build, manage, and update common Software Development Kit (SDK) interfaces and software scripting such as Java, JavaScript, ASP.NET, XSLT in support of electronic publishing and logistics-related applications. The contractor shall manage the review, installation, and testing of all SiberSafe XML output processing customization updates on the LRED servers.
Workstation Administration in support of LCSD The contractor shall provide comprehensive support to system users requesting help. The Contractor shall document, track, report, and resolve system incidents and problems identified by users. This may include questions, problems, or other requests for assistance by users. The contractor shall install, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of technical publication related software on client workstations and maintain them in an operational status. The contractor shall identify and resolve problems with all publication related hardware, software, systems, and peripherals.
Systems Administration in support of LCSD The contractor shall perform system administration duties for all designated servers and systems, currently operating on Windows Server platforms in support of technical publications. The contractor shall conduct hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting on all Windows based servers managed by LRED. The contractor shall conduct daily tasks related to the administration and cybersecurity of Windows Server(s) and Internet Information Services (IIS). The contractor shall ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of server data. The contractor shall perform vulnerability scans and use Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to meet U.S. Army and DoD requirements. The contractor shall configure and maintain the publications server for Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity in support of technical writers to allow for or remove access to technical writers, i.e. conducting technical manual publication validation and verification events at remote locations. The contractor shall develop a disaster recovery plan including software and hardware requirements as related to technical publications; in addition, execute and maintain all facets of the disaster recovery plan to ensure maximum data availability. The contractor shall act as workstation administrator (WA) for laptops/desktops and tablets and as the server administrator (SA) for all LCSD owned servers. As the WA and SA, the contractor shall have elevated/privileged access to government information systems.
