Infrastructure Design Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for 2 Infrastructure Design Technicians for one of our telecommunications clients. These individuals will be responsible for internal network order fulfillment and designing circuit paths within the network. Within the design responsibilities, you will be accountable for producing an accurate design layout record that demonstrates an understanding of the network, and documentation to support network failures and maintenance activity. This is a fully remote position, however priority goes to individuals local to Charlotte, NC or La Crosse, WI.

Skills and Requirements

Knowledge of telecommunications inventory systems (TIRKS, OMNIvue, WMS, WFMT, BOSS)

Knowledge of inside plant fiber optic structured wiring design, construction, and operations.

Robust technical understanding of voice, data, ethernet products and related equipment, as well as keeping up with new products or product changes and procedures/design consumption rules

Expert understanding of design, including both on net and offnet routing requirements Previous experience designing infrastructure circuits in a telecommunications network

Ability to work in multiple design systems both legacy and next generation null
