Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine as an Infusion Nurse at our new Crown Point Facility. In this role you will partner with the rest of the clinical team to provide patients the highest quality of care.
Under the direction of an Attending Physician or a licensed independent practitioner, RN provides technically complex and high risk nursing care services to patients including: intravenous infusions, and injections for both chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications.
Essential Job Functions:
RN maintains hospital required nursing & ICU unit specific competencies needed to provide proficient nursing care; RN will provide continuity of care for infant, pediatric or adult patients based on area of specialty. This includes assisting in the care of critically ill patients during sedation/procedural encounters. Administering high-risk infusion and transfusion (i.e. chemotherapy medicines).
Required Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
Associate Degree Nurses are required to enroll in a BSN program within six (6) to nine (9) months of hire, and make progress toward and complete their BSN degree within 30 months. ADN nurses receive 100% tuition reimbursement towards a BSN degree from an accredited program.
ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy card within 3 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Chemotherapy experience preferred
Experience working in a research environment
OCN Preferred
