We are on the lookout for a Junior In-House Attorney or a Corporate Paralegal to join our team in New York, NY. In this role, you will be working in the SaaS/Digital Video Platform industry, providing advisory services and handling general corporate matters and legal administrative functions. This position provides the opportunity to work remotely, adhering to Eastern Standard Time hours.
In NEW YORK, NY (*Fully Remote* Position): Our client - SaaS/Digital Video Platform with over 40,000 broadcasters, publishers, and other video-driven brands as end clientele - is searching for a Jr. In-House Attorney *AND/OR* a Corporate Paralegal to support the team on a contract, fully remote and project basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Licensed Attorney w/ in-house experience, capable of servicing general corporate matters and legal administrative functions (from a level of analysis, risk, etc.). While function requires exposure to Data Privacy, commercial contracts and similar/standard in-house lawyering tasks, the primary function of this seat is ADVISORY in nature (coordinating issues that come to legal department, knowing how to set expectations and scope out, from a risk perspective, what should be channeled up to supervising GC, such as what is permissible within sweepstakes for marketing initiatives as well as what may result in actual litigation given correspondence forwarded from actual end customers, etc.). Position is fully remote and requires adherence to EST hours. Both EXPERIENCED Corporate Paralegals as well as Attorneys with true in-house experience are welcome to apply. Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and guidance on various general corporate matters
• Perform legal administrative functions as required
• Handle tasks related to data privacy and commercial contracts
• Act as an advisor, coordinating issues that come to the legal department and providing risk assessments
• Assist in setting expectations and scoping out potential risks to be escalated to the supervising General Counsel
• Provide legal advice on marketing initiatives and potential litigation situations based on correspondence from customers
• Prepare and review legal documents and briefing materials
• Provide advisory services based on your legal knowledge and expertise.
Skills:
• Proficiency in legal software and tools like LexisNexis
• Strong knowledge and experience in briefing and documentation
• Expertise in handling Commercial Contracts
• Comprehensive legal knowledge
• Experience in providing advisory services.
