Injection Molding Technician

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of an injection molding technician to join our molding department team. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of responsibilities and qualifications to apply for the position.  At Moldtronics, Inc. we provide molding, machining, design, mold building, and manufacturing services, for the aviation, defense, and commercial industries.  An Injection Molding Technician's role encompasses the setup and operation of injection molding machines to ensure efficient operations and high-quality product standards. Technicians are responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting machinery issues, performing quality control checks on materials and finished products, and adhering to safety protocols and strict production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment or tooling issues during production.
• Inspect products to maintain consistent quality.
• Process various resins, including multiple engineering-grade types.
• Prepare and execute production for thermoplastic, thermo-set, and compression molds.
• Install and ready molds for production.
• Diagnose and rectify molding process, cycle, and equipment issues.
• Set up injection molds and ancillary equipment.
• Oversee and record material handling operations.
• Load hoppers and dryers.
• Sort runners and complete precise paperwork.
• Record mold changes and machine adjustments.
• Work collaboratively with operators, quality control, and management.
• Keep molding machines, equipment, and areas clean and organized.
• Ensure a safe and orderly workplace.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude.
• Skilled in processing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with engineering-grade resins (PPSU, PEEK, PEI, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Commitment to meeting deadline.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A successful candidate must complete a background check.
• Required to be a U.S. Person – meaning U.S. Citizen or Green card holder.

ADA-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to: Work an 8-hour shift while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; bending; stooping; twisting; use hands to handle items; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday – Friday
• Core Hours of 4:00pm – 12:45am

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay: $23–$30, depending on experience and qualifications. Insurance coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. 401K: Retirement savings plan with a 3% company match. Additional benefits: Life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid holidays, and PTO (paid time off).
