Job Description - Inlay Editor

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Inlay Editor will play a crucial role in the production and quality control of the RFID inlays. This position will be responsible for editing and verifying the accuracy of the RFID inlays to ensure they meet the quality standards required. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with the manufacturing and provisioning teams. 

The Shift time for this role is 3:30pm - 2am Monday through Thursday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing and editing all RFID inlays to ensure compliance and functionality. 
  • Starting new jobs and entering the roll details
  • Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
  • Calibrate the applicators to proper software settings
  • Re-web the machine with inlays for a new job
  • Choose the appropriate sensor settings for the inlay type 
  • Run the machine to identify if inlays are being applied in the correct position on the web
  • Lay settings can be changed in settings 
  • Distance settings can be changed through software 
  • Rewind tension can be adjusted at the back of the applicator unit
  • Cleaning of RFID inlay editors
  • Inspecting finished product for compliance
  • Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations 
  • Running orders per product specifications and standard practices.

Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • One year experience in tag provisioning or a similar position.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to coworkers and other team members of the organization.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and various Internet browsers (Chrome, Explorer, Firefox)

  • The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
