5280 is Colorado's only recovery high school--serving youth in recovery from addiction. 5280 is a public charter school authorized by Denver Public Schools that provides a high-quality learning environment within a substance-free community. It is a small school of roughly 100 students with an extremely strong and collaborative community of staff and students. The Innovator of Development and Marketing is responsible for leading and executing fundraising, grant development, management, and marketing strategies to enhance 5280’s visibility, financial sustainability, and community engagement. This role will focus on cultivating a new donor base, managing existing donor relationships, overseeing grant writing and management, and strengthening marketing efforts to increase student enrollment and partnerships with schools and treatment facilities.

• Write and manage grants, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and alignment with 5280’s mission.

• Cultivate a new donor base of private and corporate donors, securing funding of $50K+

• Re-engage past donors through consistent communication, school visits, and progress updates.

• Schedule tours and visits for potential donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners.

• Build relationships with community stakeholders to enhance financial support for 5280.

• Oversee donor database management and ensure accurate tracking of contributions and engagement.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
