Job Description - Inpatient Floor Coordinator

ABOUT CASCADE:


Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County. The Cascade Evaluation and Treatment Center provides intensive mental health and psychiatric services for adults 18 and older. This 22-bed facility has 16 beds on the evaluation and treatment unit, and 6 beds on our crisis stabilization unit.


 


The Cascade Evaluation and Treatment Center is looking for a Floor Coordinator to join our Inpatient team! The Floor Coordinator position will help manage the flow and structure of the unit floors.


 


SHIFTS AVAILABLE:


Swing Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 1:00am


 


This position is eligible for $2/hour shift differential for eligible hours on Swing an NOC shifts and hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.


 


PAY SCALE:


$21.53 - $26.24 Hourly, DOE


 


WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:



  • Must be eligible to obtain a Washington State Department of Health Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor Credential (RAAC).

  • Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.

  • Team Lead and administrative experience preferred.

  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA state consecutively the last three years.

  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to enter information into a computer network system.

  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

  • Must have satisfactory driving record per agency policy.

  • Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the Human Resources office.



WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Ensure units are staffed appropriately for beds filled and acuity of unit.

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of floor staff for assigned shift. 

  • Ensure floor staff are provided with break and meal period times for each shift.

  • Provide training and coaching to Mental Health Technicians and CSU Recovery Specialists on assigned shifts.

  • Provide input for performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

  • Fill in on unit floor as needed.

  • Safeguards clients’ confidentiality. 

  • Promotes a high-involvement culture by aligning the team around common objectives to ensure organizational standards are met and maintained.

  • Partners with leadership to identify and mitigate risk, and to improve care. 

  • Abides by established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

  • Provides consistent administrative oversight, including support, feedback, and clear expectations for meeting job standards.

  • Tracks, maintains, and ensures compliance with policy expectations and outcomes. 

  • Must assist with restraint of clients in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training.

  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.

  • Participates in other selected activities and/or job functions at the direction management.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • Standing and walking for long periods of time, majority of scheduled shift.

  • Protective holds, movements and carries.

  • Blocking and redirecting patient movements.

  • Physical interventions in response to aggressive and self-injurious behavior.

  • Ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene in situations when protective holds and/or movements are deemed necessary.

  • Ability to pursue a client in the event they try to leave the secure unit.

  • Successful completion of MOAB training (Management of Aggressive Behavior).

    • Including but not limited to pivoting, knee squats, shuffling front and backwards, assisting a person to the floor, stabilizing people in standing, seated, lying and supine positions.



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
