Position at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the team for our 22 bed unit. The psychiatrist will work with our psychiatry residents, a variety of off-shore and University of Vermont medical students, and Nurse Practitioners. Danbury Hospital is located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles outside of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Full-time, part-time, and per diem options. Monday to Friday weekday schedule. Generous sign on bonus and relocation allowance.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible psychiatrist looking to join a long established and collegial group. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four season recreational activities. The area has highly rated public and private school options and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are all easily accessible.
