Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab - Travel Position

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Lubbock, TX, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, with the goal of restoring function, mobility, and independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in providing therapy services in an inpatient rehab setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to determine rehabilitation needs and therapy goals.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.


• Provide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation.


• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.


• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safe mobility, and home exercise programs.


• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.


• Support a safe and therapeutic rehabilitation environment in line with facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Texas (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient rehab or acute care experience.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support.


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation care.
