Job Details

What you will be doing:
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from thoracic and neuroscience surgeries postoperatively, observing vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function.
• Administer medications, wound care, and specialized treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring pain management and infection control.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, physical therapists, and respiratory therapists to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, rehabilitation exercises, and signs of complications, providing support and reassurance throughout the recovery process.

Skills you need:
• RN license in NC, or ability to obtain
• RN experience on an inpatient unit highly preferred, but not required
