In-Plant Ink Technician

Position Title: In-Plant Ink Technician 

Pay Rate:

$55,000-$69,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Availability in 1st Shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift

The Job You Will Perform:

• Color matches and re-matches

• Manufacture ink batches for print jobs

• Press side technical assistance at the preprint and Direct print machines.

• Maintain customer ink inventory; Work-off/re-work old ink

• File ink usage reports, other reports as necessary

• Attend production meetings and other customer meetings as required

• Any other technical issues needed by customer: Ink training, ink improvements, cost reductions, etc.

Requirements: 

High School diploma or equivalency required.  At least two years experience with flexographic printing inks preferred, ideally in a customer in-plant setting.  Knowledge of and previous experience with ink color matching and press side trouble shooting is preferred, and experience in pre-printed liner applications is highly desirable.
