Requirements
Position:
The In-Process Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process at Atlas Gunworks. This position involves inspecting firearm components and assemblies during production to verify they meet specified standards and identifying any deviations to ensure consistent quality.
Responsibilities:
· Perform in-process inspections of firearm components and assemblies during various stages of production.
· Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
· Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
· Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with quality procedures.
· Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for identified defects.
· Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, policies, and procedures.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
· Communicate with the Quality Manager regarding any recurring issues or opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certification preferred.
· Familiarity with precision measuring tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
· Basic understanding of firearm components and manufacturing processes is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from standards.
· Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
