Job Title: In-School Counselor

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated In-School Counselor to support students in identifying, managing, and overcoming mental and emotional challenges that may impact their educational experience. The In-School Counselor will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to foster a supportive environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address mental and emotional issues.

- Assess students' needs related to behavioral goals, future planning, and available services.

- Collaborate with school district staff to monitor and support students’ progress and transitions out of services.

- Develop and implement strategies to help students improve their lives and achieve their educational goals.

- Facilitate communication between students, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.

- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

- License Required: LPC, LSW, LCSW, or LMFT

- Valid counseling license or certification as required by state regulations.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and families.

- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and community organizations.

- Knowledge of mental health resources and support services available to students.

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
