Inserter Operator

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in DCI’s Backroom Services department, operating and maintaining inserting machine equipment to ensure accurate and efficient processing of bank statements and related documents. Your contributions will support our community bank clients, helping them deliver exceptional service to their customers.

This position will be located in Hutchinson, KS. The hours for this position are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating inserting machines to process bank statements, overdraft notices, and other forms accurately and efficiently.
• Folding and stuffing bank statements using specialized equipment.
• Stocking envelopes and other supplies at workstations as needed.
• Ensuring accuracy by double-checking the statement stuffer board.
• Maintaining standards and schedules established by DCI’s Backroom Services department.
• Informing the supervisor of problems and assisting in their resolution.
• Assisting in maintaining continuous quality control.
• Performing daily equipment maintenance and ensuring work areas are clean and organized.
• Assisting in mailroom operations, including posting, sorting, and delivering mail to the post office.
• Providing backup for other Backroom Services duties.
• Identifying and suggesting improvements to expedite statement processing more efficiently.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work standing on your feet for the entire shift.
• Strong visual error detection skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Availability to be on call outside of normal business hours during month-end or high-volume statement drop periods.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
