Job Description - Inside Account Manager Valve Services

As a Valve Services Inside Account Manager, you will have direct and daily contact with our customers and develop relationships to grow our business. Success is measured by meeting sales objectives while exceeding customer requirements as you work with Outside Account Managers to enhance your skills, expertise, and career development opportunities across the industry. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.


How you’ll make an impact:



  • Schedule, prepare, and coordinate scope of work with customer and team

  • Perform job walks as needed at customer sites to gather job scope information

  • Ensure opportunities are handled timely and properly

  • Produce proposals for service, parts, valve assemblies, valve repairs, or any combination

  • Proactively follow up on open opportunities

  • Offer alternative solutions for customers as needed

  • Complete orders from start to finish in AWC .NET system

  • Set up part numbers and place orders with vendors for any needed material

  • Source and assist with staging material for service jobs

  • Proactively and reactively expedite on open orders

  • Line out subcontractors

  • Coordinate equipment rental deliveries and retrievals

  • Update team on schedule changes

  • Review, create and submit quality documentation to customers

  • Assist with tracking, managing, and coordinating valve core returns/exchanges

  • Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships

  • Offer practical and creative alternatives to AWC processes that increase AWC chances of closing orders quickly and efficiently



    Skills you’ll need:



    • Must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals

    • Sense of urgency, high energy with high accountability

    • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written via phone, e-mail, etc.)

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel

    • Be available and responsive immediately when needed

    • Willingness to be on call for after-hours & weekend support periodically


    Here’s what will set up apart:



    • 4-year bachelor’s degree / 2-year technical degree (preferred in an Engineering)

    • 2-5 years of industry experience

    • Base level knowledge of  Valves, Instrumentation, Controls, Steam System Products, Gas Detection, Pneumatics, Sensors, etc.
