JOB TITLE: Inside Business Development Representative
REPORTS TO: VP/Manager of Business Development
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Inside Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new and repeat business for environmental compliance and vegetation management services across a large, multi-region territory. This role focuses on qualifying, developing, and closing opportunities for clients with properties of six acres or less, primarily through phone, email, and virtual outreach. The Inside Business Development Representative also owns all annual service agreement renewals for accounts under six acres, managing a high-volume pipeline while meeting assigned sales quotas.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and be an independent and critical thinker
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized using a variety of tools (email, calendars, software)
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with sales and operations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate new and repeat business through inside sales activities, including outbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, cold outreach, and digital networking
• Manage a large, multi-region territory focused on clients with properties of six acres or less
• Own and manage all annual service agreement renewals for accounts under six acres, ensuring proactive outreach and customer retention
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads, develop opportunities, and advance prospects through the sales pipeline
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activity, client communications, and opportunities within the CRM system
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and present tailored service solutions that clearly demonstrate value
• Prepare proposals, pricing, and related sales documentation using company-approved systems and processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs, service fulfillment, and customer satisfaction
• Track pipeline performance and progress toward daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and quotas
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and compliance standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
