Job Description - Inside Sales

Description

The Inside Sales Representative is a customer centric role with the ability to build foundational relationships with our distribution partners. This role will understand our products and sales process to provide an excellent customer experience by solving problems and closing sales. The Inside Sales Representative will manage inbound quote requests and perform outbound calls to generate sales. 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers to build new relationships, and following up on leads.  
  • Perform consistent follow up on all outstanding quotes and generate new leads.
  • Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Answer customer questions and send additional information per email.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing distributor customers to ensure that they continue to receive exceptional service and grow their business. 
  • Identify, support, and nurture customer relationships and develop plans to gain further wallet share. 
  • Identify, negotiate, and implement new stocking agreements.
  • Identify new prospects, set web conferences, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all product categories. 
  • Obtain and maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the fit, form, and function for company products and understand the various industry standards and how they meet and exceed the needs of customers. 
  • Create and maintain customer information through NetSuite.
  • Achieve defined sales goals and key performance indicators.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

  • Proficiency with ERP, CRM – IE: or other sales management software
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds for short periods
