Job Description - Inside Sales and Customer Support Representative - Competitive Pay

We are seeking a driven Inside Sales and Customer Support Representative to join our innovative team at Exact Staff in Los Angeles, CA.

Our client is an established and forthcoming telecommunications provider that specializes in high-speed signal services. We are searching for a bright Customer Support Representative to join our client’s call center, located in the city of Sherman Oaks, CA.

HOURS: This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. First Shift, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. You must be open to working any day of the week. The schedule will be assigned once you start.

This position is hourly plus commission on sales made.

As the Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Reach out to leads through methods such as cold calling and emails to help sell our client's telephone services.
  • Assess the needs of the prospective customers and determine what service they could benefit from.
  • Help build and maintain relationships with the customers to encourage retention.
  • Ensuring the prospective customer is documented in the system.
  • Answering phones and responding to emails from their customers with any problems the customers are dealing with, quickly formulating the solutions, and responding accordingly.
  • Resolving tickets and managing the calendar.
  • Scheduling the field technicians for service calls with the customers.
  • Monitoring and resolving any issues while maintaining communications with the customers and members of the team.
  • Report any feedback to management regarding notable customer needs, certain market trends, or other sales strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Training is provided for this position.

This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:

  • Preferably, you have previous experience in customer support and/or inside sales roles.
  • You have strong Customer Service skills (can direct/ control conversations)
  • You must be open to cold and warm calling.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced work environment
  • You speak well on the phone, and you respond quickly to inquiries, questions, and concerns.
  • You have desktop troubleshooting skills (ex: Windows, iOS, Smart Phones, Tablets, Consoles)
  • You work well independently.
  • You manage time well.
  • Preferably, you understand basic networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, ICMP, and others.
  • Preferably, you can perform operations from a command line.
