Job Opportunity: Inside Sales Associate with Associate Refrigeration Inc. in Philadelphia, PA

As the Inside Sales Associate with Associate Refrigeration, you will contribute to branch sales growth and profitability by providing prompt, friendly and professional service to customers in person and over the phone.

Pay range: $45,000 - $55,000; depending on knowledge and experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming telephone calls and greet customers who walk into the store, handling multiple customers and requests simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and professional manner.


• Assists customers in making product selections by asking questions and actively listening to identify their needs. Provides system or product troubleshooting and answers technical questions, identifying alternate or substitute products to meet customer needs.


• Research and sources products for customers using various tools, including a point-of-sale computer system, catalogs, websites, and industry and store contacts.


• Enter sales orders into a point-of-sale computer system for invoicing or cash payments, and processes customer returns and warranties following company guidelines.


• Follows up promptly on all customer requests for information, quotes, alternative parts, and delivery dates, proactively communicating any expected delays or issues with their order.


• Develop good working relationships and rapport with customers, greeting regular customers by name.


• Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance in the showroom through stocking shelves, housekeeping, and creating displays.


• Resolves customer complaints and disputes in a timely, professional manner that balances customer requests with business needs.


• Adheres to company pricing and credit guidelines.


• Prepares and issues sales quotes in accordance with company guidelines, following up to secure sales.


• Educates customers and prospects about the variety of products available and the benefits of shopping at Associate Refrigeration Inc.


• Enhances customer satisfaction and store profitability by proactively recommending additional items and promotions that may interest customers.


• Identifies and communicates sales lead information to outside sales staff and management.


• Keeps up to date with new and existing products and inventory by participating in training, studying company and industry catalogs and websites, and seeking knowledge from experienced staff members and factory representatives.


• Assists with receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties.


• Maintains organization and order by keeping appropriate records.


• Complete all transactions and necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree; preferred.


• 1 to 3 years of experience in the HVAC Distribution or Building Distribution Trade.


• Demonstrates a keen interest in continuous self-improvement and readily adapts to change.


• Exhibits enthusiasm, energy, tenacity, and a competitive spirit.


• Works well within a team environment.


• Maintains a high level of accountability.


• Pay close attention to detail.


• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
