Job Title: Inside Sales Engineer Job Location: Long Island City, NY Operating Company: Klima New York (KNY) FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000
The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring that all bids are comprehensive and align with industry standards. This position works closely with applications and outside sales engineers to select equipment to meet our customers’ needs. Building expertise in cost estimation, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines will be essential in helping KNY secure new projects and maintain our reputation for excellence in the HVAC industry.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC bid requests, pricing requests, and issue of scopes.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure accurate estimations.
Responsible for sourcing of pricing for materials, labor, and equipment, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities in estimating.
Check accuracy of work on all aspects of jobs to ensure they are processed appropriately and accurately. Work to resolve issues and errors with appropriate salesperson and / or management prior to impact to the customer.
Maintain price pages and ensure they are up to date.
Maintain project schedules, ensuring that all estimation tasks are completed on time and align with overall project timelines.
Maintain and update product templates in Dynamics scope template.
Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the estimation process.

Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, mechanical engineering preferred
3-4 years’ experience in engineering, preferably in HVAC space
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to read and interpret complex documents.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers.
Self-starter, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Must be able occasionally to lift up to 20 pounds for packages.
