Thompson Fabrication, a steel fabrication and manufacturing shop, is seeking a motivated individual to fill an inside sales position. Thompson Fabrication has been working in the waste industry, providing high quality containers and outstanding customer service, for 30 years.
We’re looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and resourceful Inside Sales Representative to join our growing Business Development team. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is confident in making a high volume of calls daily, understands how to qualify prospects, and is experienced in using Salesforce CRM system to manage and nurture leads through the full sales funnel. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate validated leads, develop qualified opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outbound sales campaigns via phone, email, and social media to drive pipeline growth
- Qualify leads through discovery calls and needs analysis to determine fit and buying readiness
- Conduct engaging and customized product demonstrations via video conferencing tools
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current customers
- Track all sales activities, interactions, and progress using Salesforce
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine sales messaging, target market strategies, and campaign execution
- Assist in creating sales scripts, playbooks, and process documentation to support scaling of the inside sales function
- Close business remotely using digital tools such as e-signature and contract management platforms
- Follow up promptly on inbound leads and nurture relationships through personalized communication
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, opportunity creation, and revenue
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in capital equipment, industrial solutions, or technology sales
- Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close sales in a high-volume environment
- Strong familiarity with Salesforce and sales automation tools
- Highly organized with excellent time management, follow-up, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to achieving sales goals
- Adaptable and curious, with a desire to continuously learn and improve sales techniques
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with B2B industrial products
- Prior involvement in building or refining sales processes
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
